First, I need to explain what Vendon is so nobody is confused.

Vendon is just a .exe program, but it makes itself look like an operating system, kind of like Windows. It's basically a mock operating system shrunk down into a .exe file. Now that I have explained this, we can go on and talk about what version of Vendon this is.

Vendon Fundamentals for Legacy PCs (FLP) is a version of Vendon intended for PCs running Windows XP and Vista that aren't able to run the full versions of Vendon. Vendon FLP released on March 29, 2024.

Vendon Fundamentals for Legacy PCs is based off of an alpha build of Vendon 7, another version of Vendon, which on its own is based off Vendon Server 2023. It goes on and on but the Vendon project has been a thing since 2020.

There were 7 builds of Vendon Fundamentals for Legacy PCs compiled during its about one month long development cycle. The following is a list of all of the builds and the changes in each build from the start. I have also included a few screenshots of some of these builds.

6.4.2140a.venflp.a1 - Titlebar colors were changed, branding was changed, backgrounds and startup screens were changed

6.4.2140b.venflp.a1 (Official Alpha 1 Build) - Startup sound was changed, Task Manager application was removed as it was never intended to be in the final release anyways

6.4.2140c.venflp.b1 (Official Beta 1 Build) - All the icons in the menu at the bottom left were removed. This build is extremely unstable and can easily break.

6.4.2141a.venflp.b2 (Official Beta 2 Build) - An Anti-Piracy checker that was in Vendon since 5.0 was removed. Icons on the taskbar at the bottom were removed. Stability issues in 2140c were fixed in this build.

6.4.2141b.venflp.prtm - Many bugs were fixed, such as the sides of programs being misaligned. The license agreement that shows on first use was updated. The banner on the logon screen was updated from the Vendon Server 2023 banner to the Vendon FLP banner

6.4.2141c.venflp.rtm - The build string visible at the bottom right, telling what build it was, was hidden. Some other bugs were fixed including one that prevented the background to be changed. Was the original build provided but was pulled after about an hour due to major bugs being found in this build.

6.4.2141d-venflp.rtm (Official RTM Build) - Emergency build compiled due to issues in 2141c. Two bugs were fixed with the License Agreement and the background both displaying incorrectly.

A new project, Vendon Small Business Server 2024, will use Vendon FLP's codebase, and is planning to release in late April 2024.
